Committees

Membership Committee is responsible for maintaining membership data, recruiting new members, welcoming those members and introducing them to all NAP has to offer. To make sure that NAP is consistently growing with the needs of our members, the membership committee routinely surveys current members and reports its findings to the board of directors. It is important that we are constantly evolving to make NAP more valuable for our strongest asset- our members.

Marketing Committee members work together to promote NAP and the field of Psychometry. The marketing committee is responsible for NAP’s presence in all social media platforms. Publications also fall under the supervision of marketing, including management of the website and publication of the quarterly newsletter.

Professional Affairs Committee (PAC) works to address professional issues within the field of Psychometry.  They are involved in collaborative efforts with other psychological and neuropsychological organizations in an effort to enhance member benefits.  The PAC strives to enhance awareness about psychometry and to promote the field among potential new professionals.  In addition, the committee conducts a Salary Survey every five years.

Cultural Diversity Committee is aimed at educating psychometrists on testing members of diverse populations. This committee’s goal is to disseminate testing information for groups that may not fit the traditional normative sample. For those NAP members that speak Spanish, mini test training sessions could be developed in the future as there is a growing need for bilingual psychometrists. Psychometrists that are interested in developing testing practices for diverse groups are encouraged to participate.

Conference Planning Committee works year-round to coordinate a successful conference for our members to attend. This entails: finding a hotel for the conference, making decisions about food and beverage options for the conference, planning social events for attendees during conference, recruiting speakers that meet eligibility requirements to award attendees CEUs, picking the conference SWAG/door prize items, and communicating with membersdetails pertinent to the conference.
